Phyllanthaceae je porodica filantusa, red Malpighiales. Uključuje preko 2.000 vrsta iz 58 rodova, čiji su predstavnici široko rasprostranjeni po svim kontinentima. Ime je dobila po tipskom rodu rodu Phyllanthus.[1].
Filantusi su rod zimzelenih grmova i stablašica, koji je nekada bio klasificiran u porodicu Euphorbiaceae (mlječike).[2]
Phyllanthaceae su najbrojnije u tropima, od kojih su mnoge u južnoj umjerenoj zoni, a neke se kreću sve do sjevera kao do sredine sjeverna umjerene zone.[3] Neke vrste rodova Andrachne, Antidesma, Margaritaria i Phyllanthus su kultivirane.[4] Nekoliko vrsta rodova Antidesma, Baccaurea, Phyllanthus i Uapaca imaju jestive plodove.
