La Estrella de Kapteyn (GJ 191)^[10] ye una estrella que s'atopa a 12,8 años lluz del Sistema Solar. GJ 1061, a 3,7 años lluz de distancia, ye la estrella conocida más cercana a ella.^[11] Asitiada na constelación de Pictor, al noroeste de β Pictoris, la Estrella de Kapteyn tien magnitú aparente +8,89,^[10] polo que nun ye visible a simple vista.
