Amarillo ist eine Stadt im Potter County im US-Bundesstaat Texas und Sitz der Countyverwaltung (County Seat). Zudem liegt ein nennenswerter Teil der Stadt im Randall County, dessen größter Ort ebenfalls Amarillo ist. Das U.S. Census Bureau hat bei der Volkszählung 2020 eine Einwohnerzahl von 200.393[2] ermittelt.
