Lake Forest ist ein wohlhabender Vorort von Chicago, im Lake County im US-Bundesstaat Illinois am Michigansee, südlich von Waukegan, gelegen. Das U.S. Census Bureau hat bei der Volkszählung 2020 eine Einwohnerzahl von 19.367[2] ermittelt. Lake Forest wurde 1857 rund um sein College herum und als Station für Reisende auf den Weg nach Chicago gegründet.
