The One Hundred Seventh Wisconsin Legislature is the current legislative term in Wisconsin. It convened on January 6, 2025, in regular session, and is scheduled to conclude on January 4, 2027, though it will likely adjourn for legislative activity in the Spring of 2026.
This is the first legislative session after the redistricting of the Senate and Assembly according to an act of the previous session.
Senators representing even-numbered districts are newly elected for this session and are serving the first two years of a four-year term. Assembly members are elected to a two-year term. Assembly members and even-numbered senators were elected in the general election of November 5, 2024. Senators representing odd-numbered districts are serving the third and fourth year of their four-year term, having been elected in the general election of November 8, 2022.[1]
Due to the elections, Republicans lost their two-thirds supermajorities in both chambers from the previous legislature, reducing the likelihood of the legislature overriding gubernatorial vetoes or sending proposed constitutional amendments to the voters.
