The team's head coach was Mike Riley, in his seventh straight season and ninth overall. Home games were played on campus at Reser Stadium in Corvallis. The Beavers finished the season 8–5, 6–3 in Pac-10 play, and lost the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas 20–44 vs BYU.
