The 2024 United States Senate election in Delaware will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Delaware. Primary elections will take place on September 3, 2024.[1] Incumbent Democrat Tom Carper, who was re-elected with 60.0% of the vote in 2018, has announced he will not seek re-election to a fifth term in office.[2]

On May 22, 2023, Carper announced his retirement, saying "if there was ever an opportune time to step aside and pass the torch to the next generation, it's coming, and it will be here on January 3, 2025."[2]

This will be the first open race for this seat since 1970. The last time Republicans won a U.S. Senate race in Delaware was in 1994.
