A House with a View of the Sea (Spanish: Una casa con vista al mar) is a 2001 black-and-white Venezuelan film directed by Alberto Arvelo, and a Spain-Canada co-production with Venezuela.[1] It was Venezuela's submission to the 74th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.[2][3] It was first released in Europe in 2003, before its Venezuelan premiere a year later.[4]

It stars Imanol Arias, Gabriel Arcand, and Leandro Arvelo.[5]

ABC describes the film as an "intimate and crude history about the Venezuelan peasants of 1948".[1]
