In Greek mythology, Aeolus[1] (/ˈiːələs/; Ancient Greek: Αἴολος, romanized: Aíolos [ǎi̯.o.los], Greek: [ˈe.o.los] , lit. 'quick-moving, nimble')[citation needed] was a son of Poseidon by Arne, daughter of Aeolus (son of Hellen). He had a twin brother named Boeotus.
