Alden Research Laboratory, Inc. (Alden) (Holden, Massachusetts) was founded in 1894 as part of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). It is the oldest continuously operating hydraulic laboratory in the United States.[1] Today, as an independent entity, Alden has become a recognized leader in the field of fluid dynamics research and development.[2]
