Barbara Helen Fried (/friːd/) (born 1951)[2] is an American lawyer and professor emeritus at Stanford Law School.[3][4] She is the mother of FTX and Alameda Research co-Founder Sam Bankman-Fried, convicted on seven counts of criminal fraud[5] as CEO of the now-defunct and bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange, alongside other company insiders.[6][7]
