He has published various works that include collated football statistics, and the records of all players in the Football League since 1946. Hugman also helped establish the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) Awards in 1984, and in 2011 he received their "Award of Excellence".[1] In 1989, Hugman co-founded and was the launch editor of Boxing Monthly magazine, Britain's first colour monthly about boxing.[2] With the growing popularity of the internet and social media becoming the popular choice for news and information, the magazine ended in 2020 after 31 years of publication.[3]
