Chimaji Balaji Bhat (c. 1707–17 December 1740), commonly referred to as Appa or Bhau, was the son of Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath and the younger brother of Peshwa Bajirao I of Maratha Empire. The high watermark of his military career was the capture of Vasai fort from the Portuguese.[1]
