For the class of extinct jawless fishes formerly called coelolepids, see
Thelodonti . For the extinct family of thelodont vertebrate agnathans, see
Coelolepidae .
Coelolepida is a clade of insects in the lepidopteran order , containing the infraorders Acanthoctesia , Lophocoronina , Neopseustina , Exoporia and Heteroneura , with the latter three grouped in clade Myoglossata .[ 3] [ 4]
Coelolepida comprise all non-eriocraniid Glossata.[ 5] They have scales on their wings and on the first thoracic spiracle.[ 5] They do not have ocelli.[ 5]
Fossils of Coelolepida have been found in the mid Early Cretaceous period.[ 1]
