The Donegal Senior Ladies' Football Championship is an annual LGFA competition organised by Donegal LGFA among the top ladies' football clubs in County Donegal.
The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Ulster Ladies' Senior Club Football Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Senior Club Ladies' Football Championship. The winners are presented with the Donna Dunnion Boyle Memorial Cup, which was inaugurated in 2022. Donna represented Donegal LGFA at inter-county level and had previously won Donegal Senior LGFA Championships. Ms Dunnion Boyle was the husband of Brendan Boyle and the sister of Barry Dunnion.[1] Previously the winners had been presented with the Dom Breslin Cup.[2]
Termon are the 2024 champions. St Eunan's are the most successful club, with 13 titles.
Donna sadly passed away last February following a long but brave battle with illness. However the 41-year-old wife, teacher and mum of two has left a lasting legacy — one that will now be honoured by the renaming of the top LGFA trophy in the county… Donna's husband Brendan, father Danny and brother Barry attended Tuesday night's draw… Donna's husband Brendan — a former Ardara and Donegal star — thanked the county LGFA for the gesture.
