The Battle of Ican (Russian: Иканское сражение, romanizedIkanskoye srazhenie), occurred on 16 December 1864 near Ikan. Part of the Russian conquest of Central Asia. An Kokand army under commanded by Alimqul was defeated by cossack detachment.[5]
