The Duleep Trophy, also known as IDFC First Bank Duleep trophy[1] due to sponsorship reasons, is a domestic first-class cricket competition played in India. First edition was in 1961-62, named after former cricketer Duleepsinhji, the competition was largely contested by 6 teams representing various geographical zones of India with few exceptions and special invitees. Since 2016–17 season, the format of the competition keeps changing as per BCCI’s own convenience. For upcoming edition 2024-25, they removed zonal format instead chose 4 teams, A, B, C and D. South zone won the 2023-24 tournament.
