Force is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat, written by Ritesh Shah and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. It is a remake of 2003 Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha. The film stars John Abraham, alongside Vidyut Jammwal and Genelia D'Souza, Raj Babbar, Mukesh Rishi, Mohnish Bahl and Kamlesh Sawant. The soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj and Lalit Pandit, with background score by Sameer Phaterpekar. The cinematography and editing were handled by Ayananka Bose and Aarif Sheikh.
Force was released on 30 September 2011 and received positive reviews from critics.[2][3] A sequel titled Force 2 was released in 2016, making it the first installment of the Force film series.
