Gaia catalogues

An all-sky view of stars in the Milky Way and neighbouring galaxies, based on the first year of observations by Gaia, from July 2014 to September 2015. Map shows the density of stars observed by Gaia in each portion of the sky. Brighter regions indicate denser concentrations of stars, while darker regions correspond to patches of the sky where fewer stars are observed.

The Gaia catalogues are star catalogues created using the results obtained by Gaia space telescope.

The catalogues are released in stages that will contain increasing amounts of information; the early releases also miss some stars, especially fainter stars located in dense star fields.[1] Data from every data release can be accessed at the Gaia archive.[2]
