George W. Mans Jr. (January 31, 1940 – December 20, 2017) was an American college football player and coach and politician.[1] He was the captain of the 1961 Michigan Wolverines football team, an assistant football coach at the University of Michigan from 1966 to 1973, and the head coach of the Eastern Michigan Eagles football (then called the Hurons) team from 1974 to 1975. Mans later went into politics, serving as the mayor of Trenton, Michigan and a member of the Michigan House of Representatives.
