Jolly LLB is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language dark comedy courtroom drama film written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and produced by Fox Star Studios. Released on 15 March 2013, the film stars Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla and revolves around the early life of Advocate Jagdish Tyagi, also known as Jolly, and focuses on his attempt to earn six innocent labourers their justice and his journey against the monopolistic behavior of the rich and judicial corruption. [3] The storyline is inspired by the 1999 hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to the Priyadarshini Mattoo case.[4]
