Kineshemsky District (Russian: Ки́нешемский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[4] It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,583 square kilometers (611 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Kineshma[1] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[7] Population: 18,402 (2021 Census);[8] 23,258 (2010 Census);[3] 27,650 (2002 Census);[9] 30,805 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
