Larry Dean Smith (September 12, 1939 – January 28, 2008)[1] was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Tulane University (1976–1979), the University of Arizona (1980–1986), the University of Southern California (1987–1992), and the University of Missouri (1994–2000).
