List of storms named Hanna

The name Hanna or Hannah has been used for twelve tropical cyclones worldwide: five in the Atlantic Ocean, seven in the Western Pacific Ocean (five regionally in the Philippines by PAGASA) and one in the Australian Region. The latter spelling has also been used for one extratropical European windstorm. Additionally, the similar name Hana was used once in the Central Pacific.

  • Typhoon Hannah (1947) – remained over the open ocean.
  • Tropical Depression Hannah (1997) (01W, Atring) – dissipated just east of Mindanao, Philippines.
  • Tropical Storm Lekima (2007) (T0714, 16W, Hanna) – a deadly tropical storm that affected both Philippines and Vietnam.
  • Tropical Storm Tokage (2011) (T1107, 09W, Hanna) – a weaker storm that stayed out of the sea.
  • Typhoon Soudelor (2015) (T1513, 13W, Hanna) – a Category 5-equivalent super typhoon which had severe impacts in the Northern Mariana Islands, Taiwan, and eastern China.
  • Typhoon Lekima (2019) (T1910, 10W, Hanna) – a destructive Category 4-equivalent super typhoon which caused widespread damage in East China; coincidentally also had the same Philippine name with the 2007 tropical storm.
  • Typhoon Haikui (2023) (T2311, 10W, Hanna) – a Category 3 typhoon that impacted Taiwan and the southern and eastern portions of China, eventually becoming the wettest tropical system to affect Hong Kong.
