Marco Reus (German pronunciation: [ˈmaʁkoː ˈʁɔʏs]; born 31 May 1989) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. Known for his versatility, speed, and technical skills, Reus is widely regarded as one of Borussia Dortmund's best ever players.[4][5][6]

Reus spent his youth career at Borussia Dortmund, prior to leaving for Rot Weiss Ahlen. He joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2009, and had his most successful season in 2012, scoring 18 goals and providing 12 assists in the Bundesliga to help Borussia Mönchengladbach secure a place in the following season's UEFA Champions League.

Reus returned to his hometown club Dortmund at the end of that season. With Dortmund, Reus won three DFL-Supercups (in 2013, 2014 and 2019), the DFB-Pokal in 2017 and 2021, and reached the Champions League final in both his first and last seasons with the club, additionally serving as captain from 2018 until 2023. He scored over 150 goals for the club, and is one of only three players to have reached 100 Bundesliga goals and assists each. He has been voted German Footballer of the Year twice, as well as Bundesliga Player of the Season on three occasions.

Reus has 48 caps with the senior Germany national team. He withdrew from the 2014 FIFA World Cup (which Germany won) due to injury, also missing out on UEFA Euro 2016, Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, but did play at Euro 2012 and the 2018 World Cup.
