Maria Aparecida Pedrossian (1934 – December 23, 2022) was the wife of Pedro Pedrossian and served as First Lady of Mato Grosso do Sul twice, as well as first lady of Mato Grosso once. Alongside her husband, she witnessed the development of Mato Grosso do Sul, with the construction of important works.[1][citation needed]

One of the best-known neighborhoods in Campo Grande and also the University Hospital of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul are named in honour of Maria Aparecida.[2][3]
