Mary Ann Scherr (née Weckman; 1921 – 2016)[1] was an American designer, metalsmith and educator. She was known for her jewellery design and industrial design, but she also worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, game designer, fashion and costume designer and silversmith.[1][3]

Scherr was one of the first female automobile designers, working on the design for Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln.[2][4] She is known for her pioneering methods of designing with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.[4]
