Murarrie (formerly Mooraree) is an eastern riverside mixed-use suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.[4] Queensport is a neighbourhood within Murarrie (27°27′00″S 153°06′00″E / 27.4500°S 153.1000°E / -27.4500; 153.1000 (Queensport)).[5] Gibson Island is a neighbourhood within Murarrie (27°26′11″S 153°07′21″E / 27.4364°S 153.1224°E / -27.4364; 153.1224 (Gibson Island)) and, despite its name, is no longer an island.[6] In the 2021 census, Murarrie had a population of 4,946 people.[1]
