Stock car races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series have been held at North Carolina Speedway from the series' inception in 1982 until 2004 (with a second race between 1984 and 2003, except in 1987), after which Rockingham was removed from both the Busch as well as Nextel Cup Series schedules as a result of the Ferko lawsuit. The track returned to both the Xfinity and the Truck series in 2025.

Mark Martin has the most wins in the second-division Rockingham races with 12. Jamie McMurray was the latest driver to win at Rockingham.
