Neysky District (Russian: Не́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,657 square kilometers (1,026 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Neya (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 4,325 (2010 Census);[3] 6,018 (2002 Census);[7] 8,051 (1989 Soviet census).[8]
