Olivetti S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and other such business products as calculators and fax machines.[4]

Headquartered in Ivrea, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, the company has been part of the Telecom Italia Group since 2003.[5]

The company is known for its product design, ranging from its first commercial programmable desktop calculators, the Programma 101, introduced in 1964 — to the Olivetti Valentine typewriter of 1969, which won the Compasso d'Oro from Italy's Association of Industrial Design (ADI) in 1970. Olivetti has won 16 of the Compasso d'Oro over its history.[6]
