Pete Alamar (born September 28, 1960) is an American college football coach. He is the interim head football coach for Rice University, a position he has held since 2024.[1] He was the head football coach for the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in 1994.[2] He also coached for Cal Poly, Louisiana–Lafayette, Cal Lutheran, James Madison, Arizona, Eastern Michigan, California, Fresno State, and Stanford.[3] He played college football for Western Oregon and Cal Lutheran as an offensive lineman.
