Sandra Lavorel (born 1965 in Lyon) is a French ecologist specializing in functional ecology. She is a research director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) where she works at the Alpine Ecology Laboratory in Grenoble, France.[1] She has been a member of the French Academy of sciences since 2013[2] In 2020, she was honoured to be an international member of the National Academy of Sciences.[3][4][5][6] In 2023, she was the recipient of the CNRS Gold Medal.[7]
