Deleno Matthews, known professionally as Sean C (originally Sean Cane),[1] is an American producer, DJ and "artists and repertoire" (A&R) specialist.[2][3] Sean is a member of production duo Sean C & LV (Grind Music)[4][5][6] which is affiliated with Sean Combs' Hitmen producers.[7] As a DJ, Sean C co-founded the New York DJ crew The X-Men (renamed The X-Ecutioners)[8][9] Sean worked as an A&R for Steve Rifkind's Loud Records and SRC Records imprints.[10][11] He is credited as A&R and executive producer for Mobb Deep,[12] Dead Prez,[13] Big Pun,[14] Terror Squad,[15] Remy Ma[16] and The X-Ecutioners. Sean C has produced songs for Jay-Z,[17][18] Big Pun,[19] Diddy,[20] Jadakiss[21] and Fabolous[22] among others. He was nominated for best rap album Grammy awards for Jay Z's American Gangster[23] and for Big Pun's debut Capital Punishment.[24][25]
