Anatomical terms of neuroanatomy

The subthalamus or ventral thalamus is a part of the diencephalon.[1] Its most prominent structure is the subthalamic nucleus. The subthalamus connects to the globus pallidus, a basal nucleus of the telencephalon.[2]
