Taurus (♉︎) (Ancient Greek: Ταῦρος, romanizedTaûros, Latin for "bull") is the second astrological sign in the modern zodiac. It spans from 30° to 60° of the zodiac. Under the tropical zodiac, the sun transits this area from around April to May 20.[2] Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus. Taurus is one of the three earth signs, alongside Capricorn and Virgo,[3] a negative sign,[4][5] and its opposite sign is Scorpio.[6]
