When hovered over, that icon shows your IRC nickname, and is also a link to WP:IRC. It is inspired by a topicon originally made by User:A930913.
This template adds your username to Category:Wikipedians who use IRC.
Usage
[edit]Place {{IRC topicon}} anywhere on your user page.
