The Voice of the Philippines is a Philippine television reality singing competition aired on ABS-CBN and will air on GMA Network. It is based on the reality singing competition The Voice of Holland, which was originally created by Dutch television producer John de Mol as part of The Voice franchise.[2][3][4][5] Toni Gonzaga has been hosting the show since the first season; on the other hand, Luis Manzano, who had crossed over from The Voice Kids, had hosted the show since the second season.[6][7] Both are accompanied by Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga who serves as the show's V-Reporters or the social media and backstage correspondents.[8] Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga, and apl.de.ap serve as the four coaches and the judging panel of the show.[9][10][11][12]
The show first aired on June 15, 2013, replacing Pilipinas Got Talent,[13][14] and has aired for two seasons;[15][16] it had produced two winners: Mitoy Yonting and Jason Dy.[17][18] The show ended on March 8, 2015, and was replaced by Your Face Sounds Familiar.
It is the fourth national franchise in the Southeast Asian region after Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.
GMA Network announced about returning on season 3 which will be announced in the near future.
