Tiruchchirappalli Junction railway station (also known as Trichy Junction railway station[3])(station code: TPJ[4]) is an NSG–2 category Indian railway station in Tiruchirappalli railway division of Southern Railway zone.[5] It is a junction station in Tiruchirappalli of the Indan state of Tamil Nadu.[6][7] It is the only railway station to host diesel–electric multiple unit (DEMU) shed. Tiruchirappalli Junction is the second largest railway station in Tamil Nadu and one of the busiest railway stations in India.[citation needed]
