Troy Scott Taylor (born April 5, 1968) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the head football coach at Stanford. He played professionally as a quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). Taylor played college football at California-Berkeley and was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 1990 NFL draft.

After his playing career, Taylor served as co-head football coach at Folsom High School in Folsom, California, from 2012 to 2015;[1] co-offensive coordinator at Eastern Washington University in 2016;[2] offensive coordinator at the University of Utah from 2017 to 2018;[3] and as head coach at Sacramento State from 2019 to 2022.
