The 2024 Delaware Democratic presidential primary was originally scheduled to be held on April 2, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. Incumbent president Joe Biden was the only one who met the requirements to make the ballot[1]. Pursuant to Delaware state law, this means that the primary will be cancelled, with the delegates awarded to Biden.[2]
This is also happened in Florida when the Florida Democratic Party had only submitted Biden's name to the Secretary of State, which means that the primary will be cancelled under Florida law.
Delaware will send 34 delegates, 19 pledged and 15 superdelegates, to the 2024 Democratic National Convention instead.[3]
