West Vancouver Blue Bus, formally West Vancouver Municipal Transit, was founded in 1914[1] and is one of the oldest continuously operated municipal systems in North America.[citation needed] The system was transferred to BC Transit in 1981[1] and now operates as a sub-contractor for TransLink, Metro Vancouver's regional transportation authority.[2]
