Zapadna polutka

Zapadna polutka ili zapadna hemisfera geografski je izraz^[1][2] koji označava polovicu Zemlje koja se prostire zapadno od početnoga meridijana (koji prolazi kroz Greenwich, London, Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo) i istočno od antimeridijana. Druga polovica se zove istočna polutka.^[3]

Vlada SAD-a koristi izraz „zapadna polutka“ kao totum pro parte za Amerike.^{[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]}
