Ha-Joon Chang (Seul, 7 ottobre 1963) è un economista sudcoreano, specializzato in Economia dello sviluppo.
Docente di Economia Politica dello Sviluppo all'Università di Cambridge, Chang è l'autore di numerosi libri politici ampiamente discussi, in particolare "Kick Away the Ladder: Strategia di sviluppo in prospettiva storica" (2002).[1][2][3] Nel 2013 il periodico Prospect ha inserito Chang come uno dei 20 migliori pensatori al mondo.[4]
Ha lavorato come consulente presso la Banca Mondiale, l'Asian Development Bank, la Banca europea per gli investimenti, nonché all'Oxfam[5] e Nazioni Unite.[6] È anche membro del Center for Economic and Policy Research[7] di Washington Inoltre, Chang fa parte del comitato consultivo dell'Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP).
