Leo Ornstein, nato Lev Ornshteyn (in russo Лев Орнштейн?; Kremenčuk, 2 dicembre 1893[1] – Green Bay, 24 febbraio 2002), è stato un compositore e pianista statunitense dei primi anni del XX secolo.

Broyles (2004), p. 73; Oja (2000), p. 409, n. 2 state 1893, and in reference to the specific date, "December 2 [is] the day that Ornstein believes is his birthday, though documents differ" (Gann [2000]), but the earliest official documentation, his draft registration card from 1917 and his passport application from 1920, both state 11 December 1895. Also, the New York State Census of 1915 records his age as 20, and the record of his marriage on 13 December 1918 states his age as 23.
