Mel Alexander Tomlinson (Raleigh, 3 gennaio 1954 – Huntersville, 5 febbraio 2019[1][2]) è stato un ballerino e coreografo statunitense; all'epoca del suo debutto con il New York City Ballet nel 1981, era l'unico danzatore afroamericano della compagnia.[3][4] La coreografa Agnes de Mille si riferiva a Tomlinson come "il ballerino nero più eccitante d'America"[5].
