The Autonomous Republic of Crimea is an autonomous region in Ukraine located on Crimean Peninsula. The republic is viewed globally as an unlawfully taken part of Ukraine by Russia.[1] Crimea was a part of Russia from 1783 until 1954. Then, they gave it to Ukraine.[2] But in 2014, Russia wanted Crimea back from Ukraine, so it took Crimea forcefully, disregarding international law.[3][4]
