Barry Strachan Gardiner (born 10 March 1957) is a British Labour Party politician. He is the Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade since 2016. He has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Brent North from 1997 to 2024, then for Brent West since 2024.

Gardiner worked under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown as a junior minister in the Northern Ireland Office, the Department for Productivity, Energy and Industry, the Department of Trade and Industry and finally in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.[2]
