Joseph Michael Lombardo (born November 8, 1962) is an American law enforcement officer and politician who is the 31st Governor of Nevada since 2023. He was the 17th sheriff of Clark County from 2015 to 2023.[1][2][3][4] He is a member of the Republican Party.[5] Lombardo was the Republican nominee for Governor of Nevada in the 2022 election and defeated Democratic incumbent governor Steve Sisolak.
