John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963)[2][3] often called JFK and Jack was an American politician. He was the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his assassination in 1963.[4][5] Before becoming president, he was a United States senator from Massachusetts from 1953 to 1960. He also was a member of the U.S House of Representatives from 1947 until 1953.[6]
